Ginny Porowski

Welcome!
I’m Ginny, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and Registered Nurse (RN) with over 30 years of experience supporting individuals through life’s challenges at Family Life Resources in North Carolina. My passion is helping people navigate difficult times and difficult relationships with compassion, depth, and a holistic approach to emotional, mental, physical,      and spiritual wellness.

My counseling draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems, and is very Solution-Focused.  With my experience I'm equipped to provide practical, tailored strategies for your success. I strive for you to leave each session with greater understanding, hope, and tools to successfully navigate your journey.
For those who seek it, I offer Christian faith-based support to assist you on your journey.

My early background, as a rehabilitation nurse working with spinal cord injured and stroke patients, and then as a home hospice nurse, shaped my deep appreciation for resilience and the complexities of human experience. This informs my counseling, where I create a confidential welcoming space to explore your unique situation.

On a personal note, I’m married to my husband James, a clinical psychologist, and I’m a mother to four adult daughters and a grandmother.  My life experiences fuel my dedication to helping others find their way to live fully and meaningful lives.

I offer both in-person office visits, and Telehealth sessions for those in North Carolina, providing flexibility to meet you where you’re most comfortable. Our office is located at 8218 Creedmoor Rd, Suite 101, Raleigh, NC 27613. As an out-of-network provider, I offer tailored, flexible care without insurance constraints. I provide detailed billing statements, including CPT codes and my NPI number, to assist with potential reimbursement. I am not a Medicare provider.

My clients value my trusted, understanding approach and my commitment to helping them find new perspectives and practical solutions. Ready to take the next step? Contact me today to schedule a session and start your journey toward healing and growth.

My husband, Dr. James Porowski, PsyD, a licensed clinical psychologist, co-founded Family Life Resources. He currently focuses on supporting Veterans with mental health disability exams, complementing our mission to serve diverse needs.
