If you live or work in North Raleigh, you don't have to drive across town or settle for a video screen to find good counseling. Family Life Resources is based right here — our office is at 8218 Creedmoor Road, Suite 101, Raleigh, NC 27613. For most of our neighbors, that means a short, familiar drive rather than a trek down I-440. This is our flagship location, and we'd love to welcome you in person.
An office that's genuinely close to home
You'll find us off Creedmoor Road near the I-540 corridor, with parking right at the door — no parking deck, no downtown one-way maze. From Brier Creek it's a quick hop down Glenwood or 540; from North Hills you're heading up Six Forks or Creedmoor; and from Falls of Neuse you're only a few turns away. Whether you're coming from Lead Mine, Bartlett's Bluff, Six Forks, or anywhere across the 27609, 27612, 27613, 27614, and 27615 ZIP codes, getting here is simple.
That convenience matters more than it sounds. When the drive is easy, it's easier to keep appointments during a hard season — and easier to bring a spouse, weave a session into a lunch break, or stop in after dropping the kids at school. For days when life is too full to leave the house, you can also choose secure video telehealth anywhere in North Carolina. Many North Raleigh clients do both: in person when they can, online when they can't.
The full range of help, right here
Counseling at our North Raleigh office is provided by Ginny Porowski, RN, MA, LCMHC, who is accepting new clients and brings more than 30 years of warm, holistic experience. Whatever you're carrying, there's a place to start:
- Marriage & couples counseling — to reconnect, rebuild trust, and communicate without the same old fights.
- Anxiety counseling — for the racing thoughts, tension, and "what ifs" that won't switch off.
- Grief & loss counseling — gentle, unhurried support after the death of someone you love.
- Depression therapy — to lift the heaviness and find your footing again.
- Christian counseling — faith-integrated care for those who want it (and never required for those who don't).
- Life & career coaching — for transitions, decisions, and figuring out what's next.
Care here is faith-friendly and inclusive: Christian counseling is available if it's meaningful to you, and equally welcoming if that's not your path. The goal is simply to meet you where you are.
Simple fees, an easy first step
We keep things clear and private. Sessions are $160 for 50 minutes ($200 for the 65-minute initial visit), and we begin with a free 10-minute phone consultation so you can hear a voice, ask questions, and decide if it feels like a fit before you commit. We're private pay, with superbills available for out-of-network reimbursement and HSA/FSA accepted.
Reaching out is the hardest part — and the simplest. Call or text 919-306-0207, or send a note through our contact page. We'll find a time that works, in person on Creedmoor Road or by telehealth, and take the first step together.
